My guess is that your mother is the one with black hair (possibly self-evident) and your 5th time removed cousin is the red hair?

completely unrelated to your post: I have completed stage one of my camera rig modification (it now mounts on my helmet. still some work to be done, but it could work now.) can I get the method by which thousands of images are turned into a movie so that I can test it.
also: I just watched primer. it is awesome! I need to watch it again (confusing).

sorry. I completely forgot about that. I “found” it online through a completely different process. (it is on of the examples for the “veiwers are geniuses” trope on tvtropes.
i’ll need to watch it again, so mayhaps we could do that. on a side note, I have to write a childrens book for spanish class, and i spent more time stepping myself from including nuclear fallout (lluvia radioactiva) etc. than I did writing it.

on your solution for the preservation of human species in face eminent threat, I have the following comments:
1. you lack siting USAMRIID as a source. or the united states army corps of engineers. something from the army.
2. nuclear depth charges would not neek to know where anything is (this is not out of line considering your mention of nuclear weapons dismissing a land based sanctuaries). depth charges are capable of eliminating well over five miles of underwater area. given the requirements of fault-lines, the location could easily be narrowed down to a handful of sites, if not the only site through tracking of supply lines (boats leave hundreds of mile long wakes). international effort could help reduce this threat.
3. there are no mentions of seed banks. these are important to reclamation of natural habitat, as well as biodiversity. similar projects for animals would be equaly prudent
4. it could be argued that given the amount of “green consensus” has arisen in the general population. with a good government program that would guide people to correctly utilize this, it could be possible to make the drastic change in consumption required.
5. despite this, there are some experts who argue that it is not possible to curb climate change even if all consumption were to cease immediately. to much damage has been done, in essence there is to much inertia.
6. venturing away from population control, there is a third option, at least as far as climate change is concerned: intentionally change of climate for the “better’. you know what I am talking about, I merely find it interesting that this is not mentioned.
7. given that many of the problems could be solved by the return of darwinism, should not we merely resort to darwinism on a grand scale. states that are no more larger than washington. this will promote states such as much of the midwest (high gun/ weapon permeation, rural and low on consumption.) this would obviously have to be mediated to avoid nuclear, biological or chemical attacks.

I didn’t mention USAMRIID or the engineering corps or DARPA because they were part of the building plans for MASS which is a completely different classified compartmentalized document, ’sides, I did say et al (but I forgot the space between them).
BTW, MASS will contain human colonists, a seed bank, sperm/egg bank and a global information repository among other things.
Also there could be plans for submarine based construction and certainly sub based resupply and surface contact. Although the gov did once (at least once) search for lost nukes undersea using the cover of “undersea mineral evaluation, that’s why we need all those strange looking boats”.
And about nuclear depth charges, there would be a handful of sites. Handfuls and handfuls. Few countries have access to that kind of weapon, and there is a lot of ground to cover under the ocean (am I saying that right?) so the threat of a non-premeditative attack would be low unless someone really wanted some kind of revenge at humanity.
I guess it would be wise to point out that MASS probably wouldn’t contain the only survivors, its primary purpose would be preventing another dark age.
