not all the world’s supply. just the cavendish banana that the n’am’ is so fond of. the other thousands of species will do just fine.

This is one of the arugments against genetically engineered foods. Once a supply becomes homogonous all are privy to the same disease.
I would say the more important issue at hand is the death of the bees… Stop using cell phones!
On another note you should really look into Harlan Ellison.

I didn’t know that cell phones were causing colony collapse disorder… acording to the wikipedia no one solution hase been settled upon. I think GMO’s or pesticides are a it more likely. when they ran their study, a couple of their controll hives collapsed, so I don’t realy want to accept this as the definitive answer just yet.
that being said, I will wrap my house in lead sheeting as soon as I get the funds together.
